Are you interested in gaining clinical or administrative experience, finding your niche in healthcare and making valuable connections at Swedish Medical Center? The Health Scholar Program at Swedish Medical Center (formally PrepStep-Health Care Scholar) provides students the unique experience of direct patient care in a hospital setting while becoming a valuable member of the patient care team. As a Health Scholar, you will receive 30 hours of training prior to shifting to prepare you for the experiences you will encounter as a patient care provider. We accept applications online year-round, and the deadlines listed on our website (link below) determine when you begin. **The next deadlines are November 30th for Swedish-Seattle and January 15th for Swedish-Issaquah*** These dates corresponds to our Spring (2016A) cohorts beginning February 1st (Seattle) and March 1st (Issaquah).
