“I volunteer for PSBC because it gives me the opportunity to help an organization that serves our entire community. All sorts of people from all walks of life rely on the fundamental transfusion services PSBC provides, and being a part of that mission is very rewarding. Volunteering here does relate to my career plans (to become a physician) in that it has given me a lot of experience seeing both the inner workings of local hospitals and also in understanding the amount of work that goes into providing this essential medical service. And, being given the opportunity to volunteer while driving is fun! Knowing that my volunteer work helps make a very important difference in the lives of patients in our community makes driving the PSBC van a meaningful and even relaxing part of my week. Traffic and all!” -Alex, UW student
