UW Pre-PA will have its first meeting of the quarter next Wednesday, April 6th, from 6-7pm! This will be the new day and time for future meetings this quarter. The room has not been assigned yet, but we will let all of you know on Monday where the meeting will be!
The first meeting will be getting back into the swing of things. We will be talking about the exciting new plans for this quarter, volunteering opportunities, the shadowing program, as well as getting to know each other better.
Also, we would like to let you know about an exciting weekly volunteer opportunity!
Outdoors for All runs an Indoor Tandem Cycling Class for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. This program is in partnership with UW. Participants are paired up 1:1 with volunteer “Tandem Captains”, who help participants with pacing and endurance. Classes are from 10-11am on Tuesdays and Thursdays at The Brig in Magnuson Park, and their next 8-week series starts this week! (April 5th/7th)
They need two more volunteers for Tuesdays and three for Thursdays, or the cycling program may have to be canceled. It would be great if we could help them out!
We can provide rides every Tuesday from UW (or pick you up, if you’re close to UW) for anyone who would like to participate. Just let us know if you want a ride!

Also, since keeping track of volunteer and shadowing hours is so important for the PA school application (CASPA), we will be helping to log and keep track of your hours that you accumulate with the club over each quarter!
