For the research part, the student will have the opportunity to work with data collected from cutting-edge surgeries and potentially publish papers; for the clinic part, the student will assist nurses and physicians during clinical visits. There maybe opportunities to assist in the surgery center as well. We will provide sufficient training to ensure comfortable direct patient interaction.

Requirements:

A pre-med student who is responsible and dependable. He/she should be comfortable working independently and in team settings and is willing to learn new things in a fast-paced environment. The student is expected to work for full time for at least one year (best for students doing a gap year). Previous community service experiences, especially direct patient interaction, is preferred. CNA or MA licenses are a plus but not necessary. The student will be compensated for his/her time. Salary is negotiable and depends on experience.

The Institute has worked with several pre-meds in the past years, and make accommodations for students’ schedules (MCAT, med school application, interviews, etc).
