Seattle/King County Clinic – General Support Volunteers Needed

Make a difference in our community at the annual Seattle/King County Clinic coming to Key Arena at Seattle Center October 27-30. The giant volunteer-driven health clinic provides a full range of free dental, vision, and medical care to all patients regardless of income, insurance, or citizenship. The clinic needs at least 750 volunteers per day, including medical professionals, social workers, healthcare residents and professional students, and general support volunteers.

As a pre-health student, you can help with this event as a general support volunteer to help with patient registration, food service, escorting patients, managing lines and waiting areas, providing interpretation, etc. Don’t forget the preparation, set up, take down and wrap-up needs in the days and weeks before and after the Clinic.  The clinic is also in high need of bi-lingual volunteers (especially Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Vietnamese speakers).

In particular, the clinic needs general support volunteers on:
• Oct. 25: Shoe Area (Sorting), Food Areas
• Oct. 26: Dental Area (Set up), Food Areas
• Oct. 27-30: Escort and Waiting Areas, Shoe Distribution, Food Areas
