Interested in Emergency Medicine and/or Emergency Preparedness? Come check out HuskyCERT!

huskycert

HuskyCERT is a student run organization here on campus that partners with UW Emergency Management to provide trainings for basic emergency response and preparedness. HuskyCERT’s mission is to build and facilitate a university wide partnership for emergency preparedness through training and community outreach.  Trainings include CPR and First Aid courses at both the First Responder and BLS levels and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training and certification.  As a member of HuskyCERT you will be prepared to aid in the first response for the University of Washington campus in case of disaster. Members include a mix of both EMT’s and non-EMT’s. In addition to the trainings, HuskyCERT offers and participates in standby first aid at school-hosted events.

Interested in getting involved?  HuskyCERT is looking for new students and faculty to join their membership and leadership this year!

For more information, join the group for their upcoming meet-and-greet for current and future HuskyCERT members, along with UW Emergency Management. The meeting will be held at their headquarters, located at UW EOC (UW Tower, Suite C-140) on October 19th at 15:30. Please RSVP HERE. Snacks will be provided!
