Clinical research volunteer (freshman/sophomore/junior) that is able to commit 6 hrs/week for at least 18 months. The 8 hours can be one whole day or two 4-hr shifts per week. Located at University of Washington’s Center for Pediat
- Volunteer tasks include patient recruitment and consent, execution of clinical study procedures, and data entry
- Networking with UWSOD faculty, pediatric residents, and students
- Opportunities to observe clinical procedures (including dental general anesthesia cases)
Volunteer must:
-Have reliable transportation to the clinic (bus or car–ample parking spaces available)
-Able to volunteer for at least 18 months (including academic breaks)
-Can commit 6 hours or more per week (M-F, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm)
-Be available for early morning appointments 1-2 times per week
-Prior clinical research experience helpful, but not required
-Be able to start training as soon as possible.

Ideal candidates are:
- Able to quickly pick up instructions and clinical research procedures
- Registered as a volunteer with UWSOD
- Able to communicate efficiently with a diverse demographic of patients, dental providers, and CPD employees
