Medical School Application Workshop hosted

Interested in a career in medicine? Looking for advice from current medical students who recently went through the process?

First-year medical students at the UW School of Medicine will be holding a medical school application workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 13th @ 6 pm. There will be an overview of the application process, Q&A session, and workshops on the following topics:

  • Premed 101 – everything from premed prerequisites to valuable experiences, such as volunteering and shadowing
  • The Personal Statement – telling your compelling narrative
  • The AMCAS Activities Section – tips for completing this key component of the primary application
  • Letters of Recommendation – identifying your best advocates and receiving strong letters
  • Secondary Applications (and the Dangers of Student Doctor Network) – how to craft strong supplementary essays

Whether you are new to being premed or are gearing up for the coming application cycle, there is something for everyone! All undergraduate students and recent graduates are welcome to attend.

Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan food/snacks accordingly.
