Wy’esat Post-Baccalaureate Pathway at OHSU

We are excited to announce that the Northwest Native American Center of Excellence is offering a pathway into medicine for American Indians and Alaska Natives: Wy’east Post-Baccalaureate Pathway.

Wy’east will prepare American Indian and Alaska Native students for successful application to medical school and to excel as medical students and physicians. There are two pathways for entering students, an Academic Enhancement Pathway and a Career Change Pathway. Successful completion of the Academic Enhancement Pathway results in conditional acceptance into the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine.

The application opens May 1st 2018 and closes May 27th 2018. There is no application fee.

The Northwest Native American Center of Excellence (NNACOE) is housed at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. The NNACOE is a collaboration between OHSU, Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board and Portland State University and is made possible through a five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
