Anupum Pant (Google scholar) received his bachelors degree in Materials science and metallurgical engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, India and worked as a quality control engineer at Larsen & Toubro valves in Kanchipuram for 2 years after graduation. From 2014 to 2016 he completed his M.S. at Arizona State University with a research focus on synthesis and characterization of 2D materials in the laboratory of Prof. Sefaattin Tongay. Presently, he is a Ph.D student in University of Washington and is involved in synthesis, characterization, and simulation of Cadmium Sulfide nanoribbons, to make advances in the field of laser cooling of semiconductor under the guidance of Prof. Peter Pauzauskie.
