Science Studies Network 2008-2009
In 2008-2009, the second year of the Science Studies Network at the University of Washington, our priorities were to:
- run a readings-based, biweekly faculty-graduate student colloquium organized around the overarching theme of “Democratizing Science”;
- crystallize a plan for building an integrated STS curriculum at UW;
- explore the potential for establishing a Pacific Northwest STS consortium and Summer Institute;
- build a functional, dynamic webplatform that supports effective communication among SSNet members, and helps crystallize collaborative projects that constitute the notes in the SSNetwork.
