My research focuses on increasing the sensitivity of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) to study membrane proteins. Studying membrane proteins with EPR requires high resolution, which is highly dependent on the spin label’s local environment. To obtain greater resolution, my project focuses on developing a method that will predict sites to spin label based on the local environment. Increasing the resolution of EPR will enable us to study membrane proteins that are difficult to study using other spectroscopic methods.
