A 20 year old man is involved in an altercation resulting in a gunshot wound to the abdomen. On arrival in the ER the BP is 80/50, P 110, RR 24. The entry wound is in the mid abdomen 5 cm to left of umbilicus. No exit wound is seen. There is generalized abdominal tenderness. Vascular and neurologic exams are normal.
