Case #1 - A 50 year old with positive stool guaiac

 
CLINICAL CASE:
A 50 year old man presents to his primary care physician for his annual comprehensive physical exam. He is in good health and has no complaints. He asks his physician what the current recommendations are for cancer screening. These recommendations are discussed. His physical exam is normal. His family history is pertinent in that his father had colon cancer at the age of 72. He returns 3 cards for fecal occult blood testing and 2 of 6 boxes are positive.
