A 75 year old with acute abdominal and back pain

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
3.) What is the differential diagnosis and how can you most quickly confirm or rule out these diagnoses?

The differential diagnosis also includes acute myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolus, acute mesenteric ischemia, and bowel perforation. An EKG and an abdominal X-ray may be helpful. The presence of a pulsatile mass is diagnostic.
