PEDIATRIC SURGERY
Case #1 -
A 6 month old with acute intermittent abdominal pain

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
3.) What physical finding may be present which would suggest intussusception as the diagnosis?

An abdominal mass may be palpable at the site where the intussusceptum ends. In the case of an ileocolic intussusception (most common), this mass may be felt in the right upper quadrant or epigastrium.
