A 6 month old with acute intermittent abdominal pain

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
7.) Can this child be managed nonoperatively and if so, how? What is the chance of success?

This child may be managed nonoperatively by pneumatic reduction at the time of air contrast enema. This is successful about 80% of the time. A complication of this procedure is perforation of the bowel.
