Be able to list the differential diagnosis of a lateral neck mass in an adult and in an infant. Be able to describe findings in the history and physical examination which would guide in diagnosis. Be able to discuss the main steps in evaluating this mass. Be able to describe briefly the presentation and treatment of branchial cleft cysts. Be able to describe briefly the presentation and management of carotid body tumors.
