A 42 year old woman presents with dysphagia

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
5.) What other tests should then be done to confirm diagnosis and plan therapy?

Esophagoscopy should be done to exclude tumor. The presence of retained food or fluid is expected. Any evidence of retention esophagitis should be noted. Manometric studies are also indicated in confirming the diagnosis and planning therapy.
