ESOPHAGUS, STOMACH, AND DUODENUM
Case #7 - A 42 year old woman presents with dysphagia |
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS: |
9.) What is the expected long term outcome for this patient?
|
The long-term results indicate that there may be further late deterioration in the disease. It is thought that the underlying motor disorder in the body of the esophagus persists and deteriorates further with time. Carcinoma develops in 1-10% of patients late after 15-25 years
