SMALL INTESTINE AND APPENDIX
Case #9 -
A 30 year old man presented with generalized abdominal pain

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
5.) What imaging studies should be done?

Plain abdominal films may confirm small bowel obstruction. A CT scan may be indicated if there is no physical evidence of necrotic bowel. In the presence of peritoneal signs, the CT scan or any contrast study would not be indicated.
