- Be able to describe the symptoms and signs of bowel necrosis and discuss the urgency of therapy.
- Be able to describe initial resuscitation and management of a patient with small bowel obstruction.
- Given the history, physical findings, and imaging studies in a patient, be able to differentiate between partial and complete small bowel obstruction and state the primary management of each.
