Kristina Adams Waldorf, M.D. is a Professor in the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Adjunct Professor of Global Health at the University of Washington. She attended Mayo Medical School and then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington.  She is a physician-scientist with a 25-year history of continuous NIH funding. She is the Clinical Lead for the TLC-ART program and the Associate Director of Research at the Washington National Primate Research Center. Her research program has focused on a broad spectrum of infectious diseases, systems immunology, and host-pathogen interactions. Her lab has also tested the pre-clinical efficacy of many novel therapeutics for the prevention of preterm labor, Zika virus-associated fetal injury, and preeclampsia in animal and in vitro models. Dr. Adams Waldorf was recently honored with the Society for Reproductive Investigation President’s Achievement Award. The foundation of the lab’s success has been in the strong culture of teamwork and strong collaborations with other scientists across multiple clinical and basic science disciplines.
