Zachary Stephen, PhD

Zachary StephenDr. Zachary Stephen joined Professor Rodney Ho’s lab as a Research Scientist in June 2021. Dr. Stephen received his PhD degree from the University of Washington in 2016. Prior to joining Rodney Ho’s lab, Dr. Stephen carried out his postdoctoral research in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Washington where he gained extensive experience in the development and characterization of nanoscale therapeutic delivery systems targeted to brain and breast cancer. His past research primarily focused on improving the therapeutic indices of chemotherapies, and targeted delivery of gene-silencing mediated therapies. His current work includes formulation, characterization, and evaluation of long-acting lipid-based drug combination nanoparticles for anti-cancer and anti-HIV drug delivery.
