Queen Of Spades

Agency is self-awareness and consciousness of time; it is being aware of how time flows around you. It also can be thought of as different worlds or the Cultural me / Cultural them, that become the separate spheres of time that define and guide each one of us.

In Queen of Spades the characters portray the idea that we all live in a different world of time and therefore have our own consciousness of time. Some of the characters, as we do in real life, tried to cheat time which is very difficult and dangerous to do. Others simply went with the flow and had more normal, less stressful lives.
