The Project 4 Web Site

A Brief Overview:

The Project 4 class was instructed by Donna B. and Nicky S. The main idea for the class was to facilitate critical thinking and writing. It was designed to help students learn to both use academics as a tool for self-empowerment and to examine their own learning process. All students were required to take part in active discussions, written responses, critical research and writing, and active participation. We all have gained general hands on exposure to computer use, critical inquiry and analysis, basic writing skills, and research gathering on the Web and at the library.

At various times, for the past six weeks, Prof. Clark S. has come to talk to the class about certain topics. These topics include: 1)"Agency"- our own agenda, consciousness of time; 2)"Enactment"- taking an idea or self-awareness and giving it a form; 3)"Capacity"- determining the flow, talents; 4)"Currency"- self-beneficial exchange, capability; 5)"Tools"- knowledge, scholarships, help you get what you want and 6)"Power"- control in a given situation.
