Imagine YOUniversity is a dynamic youth development program focused on empowering high school and middle school students through college and career readiness initiatives. Our mission is to provide engaging and immersive experiences that inspire students to envision their future pathways and develop the skills and confidence to achieve their goals

Work description:

We are seeking highly motivated and passionate college students to join us as Youth Program Development Interns for our upcoming summer programs. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to spearhead the planning, implementation, and promotion of our college and career readiness programs for high school and middle school students across Washington State.

• Collaborate with the program team to design and develop engaging summer programs focused on college and career readiness.

• Coordinate college and career tours, workshops, and activities for high school and middle school students.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the programs, including social media campaigns, outreach efforts, and partnerships with schools and community organizations. Create program materials, including application forms, informational packets for parents, and promotional materials.

• Organize and host parent information sessions to provide details about the programs and address any questions or concerns.

• Lead recruitment efforts to attract high school and middle school students to participate in the programs, including outreach to schools, youth organizations, and community networks.

• Develop and execute a fundraising campaign to secure funding for program expenses and scholarships for participants.

Requirements:

• Current college student or recent graduate with a passion for youth development and education.

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences, including students, parents, and community stakeholders.

• Creative and innovative thinker with experience in marketing, social media, and event planning.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Experience working with youth or in educational settings is preferred but not required
