This seminar will study ideas of community/activism through the lens of performance, with a focus on artists and practices contending with an embodied politics of home, house and ‘hood. Resources draw on queer of color critique, critical ethnic studies, and black study.
Weekly meetings encompass scholarly critique, guests-in-community, living our practice, embodied work, and building a creative process.
