Website Updates: International Students

In order to support our F-1 and J-1 International Graduate Students, GEMS has several pages to assist students and advisors:

Admitted International Graduate Students is our portal for incoming students that explains the post-offer process and steps. F-1/J-1 students are linked to this page within their graduate application’s pre-registration page.

COVID-19 Admissions FAQs answers questions specific to the admissions process (application deadlines, test exceptions, deferrals, etc.).  The International F-1/J-1 Information section addresses government policies related to COVID-19 that impact students on visas. GEMS is continually updating this webpage as we learn new information about UW policy and government updates related to COVID-19.

US Government Updates is our newest page, launched this week. It is a central hub for government policies, UW policies,  and news that may impact incoming F-1 and J-1 graduate students, including the ongoing “Travel Ban” and May 29th Presidential Proclamation on Visas for P.R.C.
