The Magnuson Scholarship

The Magnuson Scholarship Program is funded via a $2 million endowment from the Warren G. Magnuson Institute for Biomedical Research and Health Professions Training. The late U.S. Senator Warren G. Magnuson, in whose name the program was established, was committed to improving the nation’s health through biomedical research. During his long career in the U.S. Senate, his efforts were instrumental in establishing the National Institutes of Health, Medicare, and Medicaid. The scholarship is awarded each year to students from each of the Health Sciences Schools – Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Social Work. We are proud to honor our Magnuson Scholars.
