What to expect:

  • Public safety plans and measures are in place to protect and direct pedestrian traffic
  • The Foege building entrance will remain open as usual during this testing
  • Vehicle and equipment parking areas are assigned and marked

Experience from previous ARCF site testing indicates:

  • Noise level is expected to be similar to the ambient noise typically occurring on surrounding streets; Pacific NE, NE Boat and 15th Ave NE
  • Vibration from the soil drilling is not expected to affect the nearby Foege or Hitchcock buildings
  • Additional measures will be taken to protect the surrounding Portage Bay Vista landscape and minimize impact from the equipment
