Credentialing
- The Pediatric WWAMI Medical Student Program will contact you via email approximately 6-8 weeks prior to the start of your rotation.
- Contact the track coordinator, Liz Kelsey to begin site credentialing requirements.
- This site requires current TB testing. Please ensure you are aware of this and comply with site requirements.
Student Experience
Student will experience Pediatric Cardiology in a somewhat rural setting. Students will observe clinic visits, ECGs, echocardiograms, and exercise stress tests. Opportunities for direct discussion and teaching on an individual basis as well as time for independent learning.
Schedule
The typical clinic schedule is Monday through Thursday from 9:00AM – 5:00PM and Friday from 9:00AM – 1:00PM, with occasional opportunities for inpatient consultation. Please contact Josh Sticka in advance of your first day so to confirm start time and place, and any additional requirements needed for your rotation.
Recreation
Located in a University town, Missoula boasts an active arts and entertainment schedule year-round. During the winter months there are several local ski resorts within 1-2 hours, as well as extensive access to public lands for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, etc. Summer months provide access to outdoor activities of all sorts from fishing, and hiking, to river floats and boating.
