Tillicum
UW students can apply for Tillicum computing credit grants (valued at $250) to support projects that would benefit from access to advanced GPU resources.
Tillicum is a GPU-accelerated research cluster designed for computationally intensive workloads. It features NVIDIA H200 GPUs with large memory capacity and high-bandwidth interconnects, allowing applications to scale across multiple GPUs within a node and across nodes.
GPU Credits for Students
- Credit value: $250
- Whose Eligible? UW Seattle students paying the Student Technology Fee
This program is intended to expand student access to advanced computing resources for research, class projects, technical exploration, and professional development.
As part of the application, students can describe their workflow and provide evidence of project readiness. Projects that demonstrate the ability to benefit from high-capacity GPUs or multi-GPU workflows will receive higher technical scores during review.
Program Terms
- Awarded Tillicum credits must be used within 6 months of account access.
- Project storage on Tillicum is temporary. Students are responsible for removing any data they wish to keep before their project ends. Data remaining after the project period may be deleted.
Application Review Timeline
- Applications will be processed on a rolling basis every two weeks.
- You will be notified of your application acceptance via email.
- Within 3-5 business days of application acceptance, you will be able to start using Tillicum and receive onboarding information.
