Sharon Wang

I received my B.A. in Psychology from Northwestern University, and while there, I became interested in interpersonal violence and gender-based violence. After graduation, I worked as a lab manager at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where my interests grew to include longitudinal examinations of individual differences in psychopathology. As a graduate student, my research interests include examining the ways that individual and contextual factors intersectionally influence the experience and outcomes of sexual violence and intimate partner violence, especially in minoritized populations. Ultimately, I hope my research can inform best practices and provide individualized support for survivors of gender-based violence.
