Megan Ming Francis delivered a TED talk this month, exploring the question: “Why does the killing of unarmed blacks continue to happen?” Rejecting the impulse to focus primarily on superficial remedies to police violence, Francis calls instead for for a closer examination of the root causes of systemic racism, as the better path toward true racial justice.
