We are seeking an After School Enrichment Assistant to work with students in an elementary school setting. The assistant will be working to ensure the safe transition of students from the normal school day to after school enrichment classes, and leading classes which may include computer or visual art enrichment activities.
Applicants should be creative, organized, positive, flexible and able to work independently on enrichment activities in a classroom setting. Candidates must be available 2:00pm-5:00pm Mon-Fri. Availability for all 5 days preferred.
Duties will include:
- interact with enrichment teachers and be a resource to improve the quality and safety of the Program
- place calls to parents and other parties to check on missing students
- monitor classroom use by enrichment teachers to ensure compliance
Requirements:
- experience teaching elementary age students
- classroom management skills
- experience with teaching visual arts and/or Minecraft would be a distinct advantage
- a cell phone with active service
- available transportation to site
STATE OF WASHINGTON WORK STUDY PROGRAM eligible students may be able to apple through this program. Please indicate if eligible.
compensation: $15-20 per hour based on experience
