Emerald City Music​ is a chamber music series in Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia WA that bridges the gap between the world’s top-tier classical musicians and the diverse communities that reside in the Puget Sound. With concerts September through May, 45 renowned musicians tour the region performing thematically curated classical music selections. The Seattle Times describes Emerald City Music as the “place where art and audience collide”, because of the personal and casual nature of the concert experience. Emerald City Music seeks a motivated, curious, and detail-oriented intern for Fall 2017.
This internship is well suited for college students in Seattle, Tacoma, or Olympia, WA who are seeking careers in arts administration or are curious to learn more about the arts management field.

Qualifications:

– Interest in nonprofit management, arts management, or event planning
– Solid understanding of excellent customer service practices
– Outstanding communication and organization skills
– Proven attention to detail and ability to multi-task efficiently
– Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, email, etc.)
– Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment with a friendly demeanor
– Availability, energy, and willingness to work occasional evenings and late nights
– Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
