Emerging Arts Leader Paid Intern
Goals and Learning Objectives: This interdisciplinary position is designed to provide emerging arts leaders from diverse backgrounds with an in depth understanding of SAM’soperations, programming and audiences. This internship will develop the skill set of the emerging arts leader while also providing them the opportunity to contribute their unique insights and perspectives. Two home departments will be chosen based on the interns’ professional or academic experience and career objectives, and the intern will work across these departments to gain understanding of careers available to pursue.
During the 10 week program, the emerging arts leader will work with key museum departments to develop a community engagement project or program inspired by SAM’sspecial exhibitions and permanent collection, culminating with a portfolio presentation that reflects the multidisciplinary work developed throughout the course of the Internship.
Works as part of the membership team to support membership and SAM Fund efforts at all levels. Coordinates all museum membership fulfillment and assists with all aspects of the SAM Fund, including acknowledgments, solicitations, data entry, stewardship, and donor recognition events.
Help Desk Tech Position
Manages the Technology Help Desk, including installing, troubleshooting, and repairing PC hardware, software and printer issues, and performs server and networking duties in support of the Technology Department.
