Summer Camp Photographer – Camp Kesem

Camp Kesem is a nationwide community of volunteers that provides a support network and week long summer camp for children whose lives have been impacted by a family member’s cancer. We are looking for someone to come to camp with us this year as a photographer.
Deadline to apply: June 15th, 11:59pm
Potential dates of the camp: 07/29–08/03/18 and 08/12–08/17/18
Compensation: Unfortunately as we are a nonprofit RSO running on something of a tight budget, we don’t have the ability to offer monetary compensation. If able to attend camp with us, however, there will be S’mores, tons of fun camp games, and life changing memories (it sounds cliche but I am honest about this)! I also imagine that there would be plenty of fun experience and opportunities to get nature shots, candid photos with natural lighting, etc. The Camp site is in Cle Elum, so there’s plenty of picturesque open spaces, free from the urban scene. You can see so many stars at night – I even counted 7 shooting stars in the space of an hour once. You also get a fun camp name!
Desired Qualifications: Enjoys summer camp environments, working with kids, and everything that goes with that (patience, excitement/enthusiasm, etc)
Requirements of the Position: Taking photos and/or videos for us, with the acknowledgement that all photos of campers + camp branded items is subject to Camp Kesem National rules and requirements (sounds sort of scary, but mostly it is in regards to the safety of our campers!). That said, I’m fairly certain photos/videos of the landscape and environs not including campers would be wholly the property of the photographer, as well as those of consenting counselors.
How to apply: Prospective photographers would need to register through: https://kesem.force.com/s/?language=en_US
It’s mostly to serve as a “get to know you”, and quick background check (which takes less than 5 minutes).
Camp specific logistics: Whoever fills this photographer position would stay in a cabin with some other staff. The camp site does have decent cell service (though we do ask that people avoid being on their phones within sight of the campers).
