The Q Center is a student-driven space. Our goal is to craft Program Coordinator positions around the unique skills, experiences, and passion you can offer our space. WE ARE SEEKING OUTSTANDING CANDIDATES FOR THE FOLLOWING (2) POSITIONS. Please reference the outlined
(1) Outreach Program Coordinator
– Lead coordination of community engagement opportunities such as tabling at events,
presenting about the Q Center on campus, and participation in campus-wide events like
Dawg Daze
– Facilitate Q Center programs and services in collaboration with people who already access the
Q Center, as well as work to bring new people into the space
– Create and maintain a friendly, welcoming, supportive environment that encourages ongoing
engagement with us
– Have knowledge of resources in and outside the Q Center
– Plan events that outreach to the UW queer and trans* community
– Maintain an intersectional social justice perspective in all aspects of work
– Assist with Safer Zone Training, administrative duties, and programs/events as assigned
(1) Q Center Programming Support Position
– Manage and oversee the Q Center Programming Database
– Monitor the Q Center email and responding or connecting the inquiries to the proper
channels in the center
– Facilitate the Queer Mentoring Program
– Assist in the Safer Zone planning and facilitation
– Aid in the logistical planning and implementation for Q Center programs and events
– Represent the Q Center on committees such as the UW Health and Wellbeing Committee
– Support staff schedule/staff meeting coordination

– Active participation in daily center operations, programs, and Safer Zone Training facilitation
COMPENSATION
Hourly staff earn $16/hour and typically work 12 – 19.5 (maximum) hours per week.
