JOIN US FOR A FACULTY TEA WITH TAEYOON CHOI

11 February 2020
2:00 – 4:00 pm
William H. Gates Hall, Room 447 (MacFarlane Lounge)

The Tech Policy Lab is delighted to invite faculty members to an informal afternoon tea with Taeyoon Choi.

Choi is an artist, organizer, teacher and cofounder of the School for Poetic Computation, an artist-run school in New York City with a motto of “More Poetry, Less Demo.” Taeyoon is working on Distributed Web of Care with a critical perspective towards technology, ethics, justice and sensitivity to the concept of personhood. He will be the speaker of our 2020 Distinguished Lecture | Taking Care: Code and Control in a Technological Future, which will take place that evening at 7:00 pm in Kane Hall.

RSVP to María Angel (mpangel@uw.edu), so we know how much food to order. Fine, too, to just drop by, bring a colleague with you. We look forward to stimulating conversation around art, technology, and what it means to live a caring life.
