Ah Haa School for the Arts | Summer Internship Opportunity

Summer Art Internships

Summer art interns are an important part of the Ah Haa team and gain hands-on experience assisting with our kids summer art programs and special events. Interns have direct contact with students and instructors over a ten-week period, from June 1 through August 7, helping with classes such as ceramics, painting, drawing and mixed media. Candidates in the art internship program gain valuable experience in art education, fundraising, and nonprofit operations. Outside of work hours, interns have the opportunity to pursue their own personal study in art, with 24-hour access to Ah Haa’s studios.

All interns are expected to arrive on Thursday, May 28th, and stay for the entire ten- week session. Work begins on Monday, June 1st and continues Mondays through Fridays through Friday, August 7th. All interns receive two days of vacation. All interns should plan to help the week of the Ah Haa School’s Benefit Art Auction on July 17. Interns are expected to work full-time, averaging 40 hours per week.
(Because of the early summer schedule this year, we do have some flexibility in dates. If you need to arrive a week later, or would like to stay for an extra week or two, we have options! Please indicate your needs in the appropriate field on the application form.)
