Would you like to share your passion for the arts with others? Would you like to use your knowledge and skills to to make a huge impact on local children as you act as a role model to help them achieve personal growth? As the arts director, you will build relationships, instill confidence, and provide opportunities for growth and improvement by overseeing the development and operations of arts programs for the branch.

If  hired for this position, you will plan, deliver, and support new, emerging, and existing arts programming. You will ensure high quality participant-focused programs through innovative program development and evaluations. You will provide leadership and support for performing arts productions, visual arts exhibitions, and events. You will also recruit, develop and support assigned staff and volunteers.

Minimum Requirements

Are you a good fit?

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • You have three or more years of related experience, including program development and innovation.
  • You have the demonstrated ability to lead performing and visual arts classes effectively for all ages, beginning through advanced levels.
  • You are able to, and enjoy, leading and developing others.
  • You have demonstrated success in community development and serving under resourced communities.
  • You have the ability to relate effectively to divers groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • You have theatrical production experience and/or experience curating visual arts exhibitions (preferred).
  • You have current CPR, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications, or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
