TAM seeks Graphic Designer

The Role
The Graphic Designer is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple projects supporting all Museum departments. Set in a fast-paced environment, each project involves unique design criteria, timelines, and priorities. Working under the direction of the Senior Graphic Designer, this position designs and produces digital and print materials that align with the Museum brand. This may include website and social media elements, event and program identities, ads, marketing materials, education guides, and more. The Graphic Designer will collaborate with marketing team members and other departments to promote Museum of Glass initiatives and enhance the Museum’s image and brand identity.

Major duties and responsibilities:
• Conceptualize and produce digital and print materials that align with the Museum
brand and design standards for all departments.
• Work with marketing and other department stakeholders to strategically accomplish project goals.
• Assist with updates and improvements to Museum websites.
• Edit, source, and retouch images. Provide occasional support for photoshoots.
• Maintain high Museum standards through excellent attention to detail, innovation, collaboration, and organization.
• Accommodate and track changes to designs as requested by stakeholders.
• Prepare files for print and communicate with vendors.
• Maintain records for each project, including process documentation and production records.
• Proofread and edit copy.
• In coordination with other departments, plan special events, community outreach
efforts, and promotions. Occasional needs for event staffing.
• Additional duties as assigned in support of the Museum.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related area of study from an
accredited institution of higher learning, or equivalent experience
• One to three years of design-related work experience. Professional experience working independently and effectively with others, managing deadlines, budgets, clients, and vendors.

Skills and Abilities
• Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Adobe After Effects preferred
• Experience with image editing and retouching, photoshoot organization and support; photography skills preferred
• Understanding of printed and digital materials and how to design to specific parameters
