Seattle Artist League – looking for new Arts instructors

LOOKING FOR NEW ARTS INSTRUCTORS
The Seattle Artist League is looking for instructors to teach at our new studio opening soon in Georgetown, Seattle. We are looking for arts instructors to teach summer youth programs, and/or adult classes year round. Youth camps include photography, drawing, painting, ceramics, and more. If interested, please provide qualifications, and suggest classes within your area of expertise. Days and hours are flexible, depending on workload and availability.

Additional Positions
-We will also be hiring instructors for year round adult classes in drawing, painting, ceramics wheel-throwing, ceramics hand-building, and ceramics figurative sculpture, and a lab tech for the ceramics department. These are different jobs that could potentially overlap, to be held by highly qualified individuals. If interested in multiple positions, please reference all relevant positions in your response.

Position Specific Accountabilities
-Develop art curriculum, materials, and programs.
-Teach summer teen camps.
-Ensure proper safety and classroom management procedures.
-Provide a positive learning environment.
-Keep the studio clean and organized.
-Interact with people in a way that reflects the League’s values.

Qualifications
-Experience developing curriculum and teaching.
-3 years of work experience in an environment with any combination of training, education, experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in visual arts, fine arts, or a related field.
-Must pass a criminal background check.
-Must show proof of vaccination.
-Must be willing to wear a mask beyond CDC minimum requirements.
