Friends of Little Sài Gòn – seeks Logo Designer

Celebrate Little Saigon Logo Development

Scope of Work
Celebrate Little Saigon is an annual neighborhood block party event hosted by Friends of Little Sài Gòn, featuring local businesses and creators and providing space for community gathering. There have been 11 annual Celebrate Little Saigon (CLS) events so far without consistent branding.

In 2022, in pursuit of cohesion for future event promotion and materials, Friends of Little Sài Gòn crafted a Celebrate Little Saigon brand consisting of fonts, colors, and illustrated elements. We now seek an event logo to complete the brand.

Deliverables
One (1) Celebrate Little Saigon logo, for recurring annual use in event materials and assets, that:
● Accompanies our existing CLS text brand and color palette.
● Has options of color, black, and white.
● Exists in any sizes needed for various digital and printed purposes.
○ Ex. stickers, banners, posters, social media, merchandise, etc.

Timeline/Milestones
Project time frame: November 11 2022 – March 1, 2023

Detailed project timeline:
● 9/20: RFQ release announcement
● 10/30: Applications due
● 11/11: Contractor selected
● 11/16: Sign and complete contracting
● 1/13: Completed discovery conversation with key stakeholders
● 1/30: Draft 1 due
● 2/13: Applied edits & feedback; Draft 2 due
● 2/27: Applied any additional edits & feedback; Finalized sizing & color options
● 3/01: Final logo set due

Application Submission
To apply, please submit the following elements in an email to info@flsseattle.org with the subject line: “Celebrate Little Saigon Logo RFQ”
● Cover letter: A no longer than one page introduction to yourself, your work, and what interests you about this logo development project.
● Portfolio/Sample of relevant work: Examples of digital design work you have done where you utilized any skills/tools relevant to this project (3 examples maximum).
● Budget proposal: Your proposed rate for a project of this length/deliverable type.

Maximum budget for this project is $2,500.

RFQ Applications due by 5pm Sunday, October 30, 2022.
