African Community Housing and Development (ACHD) seeks Graphic Organizer
On November 7th, the education team at ACHD will be hosting a community café in partnership with the Highline School District. Our community cafes are used to gather community members to discuss various issues our communities are facing as well as brainstorm solutions and share ideas. Part of the community café model includes hiring a graphic organizer, also known as a live note taker. A few examples of work other graphic organizers have created are included below. This would be a great opportunity for BIPOC students to be involved in the African community in South King County.
Some details about the event:
The community café will be on Monday, November 7th at the Heights by Vintage Apartments (21212 International Blvd, Seatac, WA 98198). We ask that the graphic organizer arrived by 4:45pm and the program will run until 7:00pm. We are able to provide large butcher paper and Crayola makers and colored pencils for materials, but they are also welcome to bring their own materials if they so choose. The graphic organizer will also be compensated $300 for their time.
We will be hosting more community cafes with the same location and times on January 23rd, January 30th, and February 6th . I’d love to know if any students would be interested in this opportunity. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
