Hello! My name is Aditi Prabhala, and I am the president of an RSO here on UW’s campus called Students for Global Health (formerly a chapter of the national organization GlobeMed). Our group is a global health group dedicated to health as a human right and uplifting grassroots voices to decolonize global health as a field.
In our work, we partner with an NGO in Odisha, India, called MASS and fundraise to support many of their efforts with sustainable farming and forestry, women’s economic empowerment, and local health campaigns. To this end, we host a yearly Benefit Dinner with guest speakers, performances, and a silent auction of art and crafts from across UW’s campus.
We are currently searching for donors for our silent auction. If you, or anyone you know, has created art or crafts of any medium that you would be willing to donate to our event, we would greatly welcome it. Our Benefit Dinner will take place on May 2nd, so if you are willing to donate something prior to our event, please contact us at sghatuw@gmail.com.
