UW FYP seeks Undergrad FIG Leaders and Orientation Leaders

First Year Programs is currently recruiting for our First-year Interest Group (FIG) Leader and Orientation Leader (OL) student positions!

The FIG program is looking for undergraduate students from all departments with strong organizational skills and a genuine interest in working with incoming students as they face the challenges and opportunities presented to them as new students.

Orientation Leaders play a vital role in the orientation process, working closely with new students and their families on a wide variety of topics including academics, student involvement, housing options, and more. Orientation Leaders lead groups via Zoom during Advising & Orientation sessions along with facilitating in-person connection and social events during the summer and Dawg Daze and are paid around 35/hrs per week.

General informational sessions will also be hosted:

  • Tuesday, January 4th from 4:30- 5:30 pm
  • Thursday, January 6th from 4:30- 5:30 pm
  • Monday, January 10th from 3:30 – 4:30 pm
  • Wednesday, January 12th from 2:30 -3:30 pm
    • These sessions will be available in a hybrid format! Either come in-person to MGH 120 or join via Zoom.
    • Zoom links and a recorded information session will be available at fyp.uw.edu/apply

Applications will open Monday, January 3, 2022. The application deadline is Sunday, January 16, 2022, at 11:59 PM PT.
