Qualifications

Pike Place Market craftspeople must:

 Make and sell locally handmade crafts. As a part of our “Meet the Producer” tradition, the artist must regularly sell on our Daystall Tables.

 Exhibit a commitment to master one’s medium and display a uniqueness and originality of one’s work.

 As a Market craftsperson, you are a part of a community of 170+ other creatives across a wide variety of disciplines, from glass art to photography, ceramics to jewelry making, and painting to knitting.

 The Market receives over 15-million visitors per year so your work will be exposed to a variety of customers, from loyal locals to international tourists.

Our Craft program perks include onsite storage for low monthly rates and flexible attendance requirements. We also offer ongoing business training as well as access to Marketing resources such as an online directory listing, co-op advertising, and social media support.

Next Steps

 Applications are reviewed by our Screening Committee twice a year, in the Spring and Fall.  Selections are then made according to the qualifications listed above, as well as existing Daystall Craft product mix, and table availability for new artists.  Applications are kept on file for three years.

 If you are selected to attend a Craft Screening, you will receive an official invitation. Once an applicant passes the Screening, they will then be allowed to sell at Pike Place Market and will be subject to regular attendance requirements.

 Table space is rented by the day. Rates vary depending on the season and the day of the week.
